Just got the 2001 Savage on the road and already have about 200 kms on the machine. Loving every beat of that big single drum!!
Just for my own piece of mind, I wanted to confirm others in the know that the occasional backfire (sometimes quite explosive) is absolutely normal and most of all, harmless.
I understand this problem is caused by the white spacer in the carb, however if it is not normal, I'd best inquire before the warranty is up.
Has anybody experienced damage attributed to the backfiring? What is the worst thing that can happen?
